Why We Are Here

Why we are here

The most fundamental question in life that we can ask ourselves is, “Why are we here?”
Its a question that many people have discussed across the centuries.

Simply put, we are here to enable people to connect to God. Regardless of whether you have known Jesus for years or meeting him for the first time, Quaystone is here to help you establish and maintain that relationship.

Our answers are based primarily on the Bible and we believe it provides us with some very clear answers. In particular, there is this saying from the teaching of Jesus.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbour as yourself.
(Matthew 23:37-39)

Simply put, we live to love God and everyone else who are our fellow passengers living on this planet we call earth.

So, why does Quaystone Church exist?

We exist to worship God and to enable those who dont have that relationship to find Him also. Were not around just for ourselves, we are here to help those outside the church to realise what theyre missing out on. We want people to experience for themselves the transforming love of God.

This, then, is the goal of Quaystone on the Isle of Dogs – to bring people in, train them up, send them out in service, and glorify Jesus. That’s why we are here!
